The Minister of State for Schools and Learners, Mr Vernon Coaker MP, today visited Oasis Academy Wintringham to see for himself how the Government’s Academies programme is succeeding.
Since its opening, Oasis Academy Wintringham has witnessed growing success, not only in improved results, but in the way it inspires its students to achieve the very best they can. It has also become an important part of the community, offering a range of activities for all age groups.
Schools Minister Vernon Coaker said: "I'm really looking forward to meeting staff and students at Oasis Academy Wintringham. I've heard a lot about their new £25 million school especially the fantastic sports facilities available. What’s really important now is what happens inside with excellent teaching and learning opportunities for all the students. The staff, parents/carers and students deserve congratulations as GCSE results are starting to improve thanks to their hard work and determination."
Steve Chalke, Founder and CEO of Oasis Community Learning said, “We are delighted to welcome Mr Coaker to Oasis Academy Wintringham today, and pleased that this opportunity has arisen for him to see us in action. As ever, we are committed to providing the very best facilities and opportunities for the students and wider community, and we are all so pleased that Oasis Academy Wintringham is already seeing such improved results across the board. Improvements have not only been academically, but also in the way that students are having such a positive impact in their local area through their behaviour and involvement. The local community have repeatedly commented on the transformation they have seen in the area, and are keen to be part of this exciting vision.”
Aye mate! And welcome to limbo! Problem: I have no idea what page you're trying to work on. You need to define a body ID in the template, then turn on the necessary rows and columns in layout.css. Arrrrgh!
