Oasis Academy Wintringham and Franklin College have a strong record of working together to support Academy students.

Franklin College is the designated Sixth Form College for North East Lincolnshire and offers a range of courses at advanced level. Our aim is to ensure that young people gain the qualifications, skills and experience to progress into higher education, an apprenticeship or employment.

The Oasis Academy Wintringham – Franklin College partnership will:

• Support the advice and guidance for young people through secondary education, into post-16 learning and beyond.
• Ensure that young people have the skills to make the right decisions at each stage of their progress through learning and life.
• Provide a wider range of learning opportunities, particularly at key Stage 4.
• Enable staff from the Academy and the College to jointly plan and deliver courses 11-19.
• Enable students from both organizations to be jointly involved in projects, enrichment activities and mentoring.

To support this partnership we welcome Trevor Wray, the Principal at Franklin College to our School Council.

The partnership is currently involved in a project to better prepare young people interesting in a career in one of wide range of professions in Health and Medicine. We know that by working together in this way, we can really give your child the best possible start in life they deserve.
