2. Watch the video lesson online called ‘Understanding dialogues in a bus/train/underground station’.
Remember, there will be a pre-quiz to check your knowledge. You don’t need to the quiz at the end of the video. Instead, do our Oasis quiz:
History
Main Task – Complete the relevant section that your class teacher has set you on Seneca Learning. You should have already signed up to your class but just contact your class teacher if you are still unsure what to do.
This week’s section is on ‘The Cold War’. Once you’ve done this, you could make sure that you’ve completed the previous topics. These have been on; US Independence, The Crusades, The French Revolution and The Reformation.
Challenge – You could then have a go at completing the work booklet. You can just do this on some paper. Or you could write a paragraph summing up what the Cold War was and why it was important. You could even speak to your grandparents or someone else that you know that may have lived through this time period. You could email this back to me or send a photo of your work to ‘Frederick.Redfern@oasiswintringham.org’.
Something Fun – There have been some amazing cardboard castles created over the past couple of weeks! Well done for these! Once you’ve done this you could try designed your own ‘Coat of Arms’. Before you do this you should research what a ‘coat of arms’ actually is. What are they used for? Where are they used? Who uses them today? You could use this website (click here) to have a play around and then have a go at drawing your own on paper. Don’t forget to email me a photo of what you do!
