2.      Watch the video lesson online called ‘Giving Directions’

Remember, there will be a pre-quiz to check your knowledge. You don’t need to do the quiz at the end of the video. Instead, do our Oasis quiz.

History

Task 1 – Last week you looked at medicine during the Middle Ages. This week we are going to move on to looking at what medicine was like during the Early Modern period. I would like you to work your way through this BBC lesson  (click here).

Task 2 – There were lots of interesting discoveries during the time period. The lesson tells you about two key men; Harvey and Pare. You could research a third man called Vesalius and create a short fact file about him. Who was he? What did he do? Why was he important? Use the internet to help you but if you’re struggling you could use this link (click here).

Challenge Task – You could then have a go at answering this essay style question. You could aim at writing one or two paragraphs about this.

‘How far did medicine change from the Middle Ages to the Early Modern Age?’

This question is asking you to compare what medicine was like in two different time periods. You’ll need to think back to what you learned last week and think about how it was different to what you learned this week.

Feedback Friday – Don't forget to check out the History Tab to view feedback from last week’s work.
