History

Main Task – Complete the relevant section that your class teacher has set you on Seneca Learning. Your history class teacher will send you a link – all you need to do is click on the link to join your class group.

Once you’ve joined, you will be able to work your way through various sections. This week I’d like you to work through the section on ‘The Crusades’. Once you’ve done this, you could make sure that you have completed the work from last week on ‘The Norman Conquest’.

 Challenge – Once you’ve done this you could write a short paragraph explaining why the Crusades were so important. How did it heighten religion tension? You could email this back to me or send a photo of your work to ‘Frederick.Redfern@oasiswintringham.org’.

 Something Fun – There have been some amazing cardboard castles created over the past couple of weeks! Well done for these! Once you’ve done this you could try designed your own ‘Coat of Arms’. Before you do this you should research what a ‘coat of arms’ actually is. What are they used for? Where are they used? Who uses them today? You could use this website (click here) to have a play around and then have a go at drawing your own on paper. Don’t forget to email me a photo of what you do!

Performing Arts/Music

Performing Arts:

We are going to be exploring the style of Musical Theatre through the Broadway Musical Aladdin. In the subject files  is a PowerPoint that you need to work through with links provided to watch the Musical. You will take notes and then become a theatre critic produce a performance review for a newspaper.
