Year 10

Art session

In art we will start to look at a wider range of artists, the focus will no longer be on landscapes. Instead we will start to look at artists that help to develop our knowledge of the Natural World, Surrealism or a combination of both. This week’s artist is David Bray.

Please feel free to draw any of the images provided or find your own image by David Bray that you would like to use instead.

We want the art work to be meaningful so if you have found an artist that you really like please do email ian.ashcroft@oasiswintringham.org and if I feel their work is suitable for the course we can potentially allow you to explore that artist instead of the artists I share with you.

A series of videos are being created and shared on the Virtual Learning Platform, so far we have a video on how to draw like Paul Jackson and another looking at Kelsey J Beckett. They are worth a watch and give you a more in depth insight into how to build up a drawing.

Engineering

It is really important to try and add colour.  If you don’t have a marker pen, you can attempt using felts or highlighters.  Highlighters are usually better because of the chisel tip.
