Yesterday, we had an inspirational speaker travel from London to present to our students in Years 9 to 11. Moj Taylor, who works for PUSH (an organisation that helps young people make well informed decisions about their futures) delivered three different presentations to Years 9, 10 and 11 separately.
Year 9 students focussed on, ‘How to do what you love and love what you do,’ whilst Year 10 students learnt about the importance of telling your personal story to communicate points in a positive manner. Our Year 11 students were encouraged to consider how their choices allow them to make a life and not just a living.
Moj delivered his content in an entertaining manner, using humour throughout, to deliver his points. It was well received by students and staff and has provided food for thought for all those involved.
Thanks go to the Humber Outreach Programme, HOP, for providing the funding for this to happen.
